Kelly Bowen owner of Byrdy

BYRDY (pronounced Birdy) is an online store created by owner,Kelly Bowen. 

After living abroad for 15 years, Kelly relocated back to a small beachside town in the Coromandel Peninsula.  Having spent her Summers in the Coromandel since she was little, it was the perfect place to call home for her young family. 

In her pre-mama life, Kelly worked in the fast paced corporate world of the spirits industry as an Executive Assistant / Corporate Relations Executive before moving into media as Executive Assistant to the Network News and Public Affairs Director for a major Australian Television Network. She LOVED every single minute of it!  Whilst working full-time and always having a love of graphic design Kelly graduated from CATC Design School with a Diploma in Commercial Arts in 2012.

Since becoming a Mama and still having a love for creative design, fashion, markets, BYRDY was created.  Kelly set out designing prints, then graphics for kids clothing and snapbacks. She then joined 5 other women to open a collective store Gathered Co. based in Whitianga, New Zealand before moving soley online to sell Byrdy Label together with her other favourite brands including Estilo Emporio and Le Edit.

Kelly also enjoys photography, shooting families and weddings as well as teaches Pilates in the local community.

Kelly is married to Grant and together they have three little rascals, Alfie, Reggie + Scout.
